Typed CBT
What is Typed CBT?
This is CBT that is delivered in real time over the internet, using written (typed) conversations. Typed CBT sessions follow the same format as traditional face to face sessions, but take place in a secure online therapy room, allowing you to attend from anywhere you feel most comfortable. All you need is a device that can connect to internet.
Typed CBT sessions are confidential, discreet and easy to access, making them ideal for those who would prefer therapy without having to attend face to face sessions.

The advantages of Typed Therapy
- It's more flexible
- Typed therapy allows you to have the space to reflect on your responses
- Better for slow internet connections
- You don't need to have a room you can use where you're free to chat out loud without being overheard or interrupted
- Sessions are more likely to remain more focused, which means the sessions may likely help you reach your therapy goals sooner

First consultation
The first step is to arrange a 50-minute consultation. During this time, we will have the opportunity to meet each other, talk about your expectations of counselling, explore what has brought you to counselling, and I can provide you with information about my approach to counselling. This consultation will provide you with the opportunity to decide if you could work with me and if Typed CBT is something you would like to continue.
Further sessions
Should you decide to continue, we will agree on a convenient time for sessions to take place. Sessions are typically arranged weekly for a duration of 50 minutes each; this will usually be at the same time each week.
